Just some misc. pictures

Spring is great. I enjoy watching the yard come back to life.

Watching children sleep pulls at my heartstrings and reminds me how truly blessed I am to be their mother.
George is still very interested in Cecilia especially now that she is so receptive to it. She loves attention, and she seems to really enjoy when he reads to her.
The girls were officially initiatiating Gabriella into their sisterhood with some dress up. All was good until we got to church, and I realized we forgot to take off the eye make up on Gabriella. Oh well, she was extra fancy for Jesus.

If she could talk, Cecilia would probably be asking for someone to rescue her from the loving arms and kisses.

And to think Paul and I thought these chairs were for us to relax in; clearly our mistake.

Welcoming a new member to the family

Saturday, Paul's brother Mark got married to a great gal named Emily. We're so thrilled that Mark found her, and even more thrilled to see how happy she makes him. They are a wonderful couple and had a beautiful wedding.
Isn't Emily's dress beautiful? It was a special friend of the bride's and is 72 years old.
I just love this picture of Paul's parents with Mark and Emily. It really captures the love and fun of the day.
It was quite and ordeal to get us all gussied up, and we had to drive to the big city, but we did it and looked pretty good if I do say so myself. It was a really tough day for Pauly, a little too much out of the norm for him, but here he's looking pretty good.
And here's the whole family, well almost; we're missing a brother-in-law, a nephew, and two little nieces. Pretty impressive bunch!
Welcome to the family Emily, and congratulations to the both of you. May God bless you both with lots of love, peace, and joy throughout your life together.

Look who got a big boy hair cut

Can you say FLIRT? At church the other night, Georgie kept going back and forth between the little girl in front of us and the little girls behind us. The foreshadowing made my heart skip a few beats. He is such a ham; not a big talker yet, but he gets his needs met and lots of love.
He's also into EVERYTHING and loves to sneak outside. My dad calls him Dennis the Menace. I say, "Good thing you're so cute!"

I'm worn out and a little on edge...

..... but look who's smiling back at me! Cecilia has one of the best little personalities. She charms everyone she meets and gives almost all the urge to sing to her. Even Gabriella knows "the Cecilia song" and walks around the house siging it; she encourages the singing of it everytime Cecilia gets the least bit fussy. I had two perfect strangers break out in a duo the other day at the clinic; can you say uncomfortable? I just smiled and nodded. It will become her least favorite song I'm sure.

And a brand new baby; can't beat that. Evangeline Susan was born Friday. Cecilia had a check up at the clinic which is connected to the hospital where my friend was in labor, so we stopped in for a visit. She was only minutes from pushing, so I prayed over her and the baby quick and went to the waiting room and waited. The lullaby played over the loud speaker, and then I got to see her only minutes old. This photo was taken later when I came back for a real visit with baby and mommy. Isn't she beautiful? God is good!

Happy Divine Mercy Sunday

You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself our upon us ( Faustina's Diary, 1319).

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!
(repeat 3 times) (84)

Eternal Father, I offer You the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Your dearly beloved on, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and the sins of the whole world. (476)

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
(repeat 3 times)

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy Itself. Amen. (950)

4 months old

Sorry we've been M.I.A. for a while. There's just a lot going on and a lot to process, so forgive me that I haven't found the energy mentally or physically to post a proper update; it's coming- I promise. For now, enjoy a smile from our little buttercup.
