A night to remember

Last night we had our dear friends Deacon Steve and his wife Betsy over for dinner. We invited them over because we wanted Deacon to bestow on Paul and I the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. We also wanted him to bless our family and our home as we take the next step in our spiritual journey.

It was a beautiful evening, the kids were full of energy, but we were still able to really enjoy each others company and have a wonderful time of prayer. Other than our wedding day, this is the first vow of commitment that Paul and I have done together. It was wonderful, especially because we had all our children surrounding us while Deacon blessed us and put the Scapulars over our heads. We are so blessed.
