I told you that the fall is my favorite time of year, and that I had the itch to paint. Well, Monday night I bought 7 gallons of paint and spent the next 4 days painting the main floor-kitchen, family room, hallway and stairwell. Call me crazy, but I finished just in time for the party; actually I have to admit I was still hanging things back up on the walls when the guests arrived. I'm sure Martha Stewart wouldn't approve of that, but I figured what the heck. All that's left is the laundry room and school room. Paul is trying to convince me to take a break from painting and let him do it while I'm away this weekend. Yes, I am getting a way for a few days. I won't be childless since George is coming with me, but I will be away from home. We'll be traveling to Missouri and staying with my nephew and his wife. I'm hoping to rest and recharge.

George's 1st birthday, again and Painting Update
Saturday we celebrated George's birthday with the family. We had a fun time. George loved the opportunity to eat cake for an audience again.

Happy Birthday to your sweet baby!!
Where's the recipe for those beautiful pumpkins? Is that a Kit-Kat stuck for the stem? Cute, very cute!!
Nice painting, I love it!! I always get the itch to paint when my babies are one, it must be a burst of energy or something!!
