Health Report

Thankfully, everyone is on the mend here. Elizabeth saw her dr. on Wednesday, and she concurred with urgent care dr.'s thought that this is virus induced asthma. She did not feel it is necessary for Elizabeth to be seen by a specialist at this time given that she already has a pretty good allergy med. regimen and didn't think further testing would bring a whole lot of additional information or change how she's being treated. As for the asthma she's pretty confident in the treatment measures started by the urgent care dr. and wants her to continue with daily nebulizer steroid treatments until about Mem. Day to keep her lungs cool and calm. I'm so grateful that Elizabeth doesn't mind the treatments. We will still have the medication on hand for emergency attacks or if she gets sick and needs extra assistance. Today she was actually running around playing, laughing and just finally looked like her usually happy self- so good to see.

On a side note, I discussed with the dr. that Elizabeth has been having some joint and body pains and has been banging her wrists on her hips a lot. Although very rare, there are cases of Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis, and it's part of our family history, so the dr. ordered a blood draw. The poor thing was so scared, but I really need the peace of mind, and she learned a valuable lesson that it's not usually as bad as you think it will be. We should get the results next week.
